Physical therapists (PTs) are health care professionals who diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives
As a graduate in Oriental Medicine I have been treating patients using acupuncture, Tui-na, herbal medicine, moxibustion, and giving lifestyle and food therapy recommendations, since 2010 . During this period I noticed that the biggest challenge, with most patients, is the ability to make the necessary lifestyle changes to achieve mental and physical improvements. Unlike Western Medicine, Integrative Medicine is a holistic application that involves treatment of the mind, body, and spirit. Each patient needs personalized treatment based on the assessment of his or her mental and physical health condition. Additionally, people respond differently to motivation, encouragement, support, and therefore, knowing the person and assessing individual characters are critical in speeding up the healing process. Additional training as an Integrative Health Coach would truly give me the additional tools that are critical to bridge my knowledge gap. Acquiring new techniques, about coaching patients in sustaining behavioral and lifestyle changes, to achieve a long term optimal health is one of my big goals in becoming an effective an Acupuncturist and food therapist .I am passionate about delivering a comprehensive and thorough holistic approach and coaching patients to achieve optimal long term results.
